Mr Ali Abbasian MB BS FRCS (Tr & Orth)

Mr Ali Abbasian is a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His area of elective subspecialty interest is the surgical and none surgical management of the adult foot and ankle. He provides on call cover for general musculoskeletal trauma, managing all aspects of adult and paediatric emergency orthopaedics and trauma care.
He qualified in the year 2000 from St George's hospital medical school before completing his surgical and orthopaedic training in London deanery training programmes. He was awarded the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010. Mr Abbasian has completed a comprehensive fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery in Maine, USA recognised by the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has published numerous papers on various aspects of elective foot and ankle surgery and is a reviewer for the Foot and Ankle surgery Journal. He is the departmental lead for core surgical training at Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals and has been awarded an honorary senior lectureship by King's College medical school in recognition of his educational contributions.
He has undertaken the Cardiff University Law School Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate course and has over 5 years experience in providing medical reports for court purposes.
