Mr Jonathan Ash MBBS, MRCOG, FHEA
Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Mr Jonathan Ash is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at the Lancashire Women & Newborn Centre in the North West of England, a busy hospital delivering 7000 women per year. The unit is located in an area of high social deprivation and diverse ethnicities, giving exposure to a wide range of pathologies and clinical scenarios.
Jonathan spends most of his time ‘on the shop floor’ and has a significant amount of current and relevant experience, which is constantly being updated in line with contemporaneous evidence and national guidelines. This enables him to generate reports that are from the perspective of a working clinician who is facing challenging and complex cases on a daily basis.
He has special interests in minimal access surgery and management of the labour ward. He has published research on the management of Shoulder Dystocia, which is regularly referenced.
Jonathan has been involved with the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists since 2008 and is currently a member of the RCOG College Council.
