Mr Michael Butler, MA, MB, BS, FRCS (Tr&Orth)

Mr Michael Butler undertook his medical training at Cambridge University and the London Hospital Medical College. Subsequent surgical training was undertaken in the South West of England, around London and with the Army.
He undertook sub-speciality training in Exeter, at the world-renowned Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He has been a substantive consultant since 2009.
Mr Butler publishes and presents on a wide variety of topics and is currently the Training Programme Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics for the Peninsula Deanery.
Mr Butler has a full-time trauma and elective practice, with specific expertise in general limb trauma and in complex trauma of the foot and ankle as well as lower limb reconstruction and surgery for sporting injuries around the ankle. He is a Review Board Member for Foot and Ankle Surgery the European Journal for foot and ankle surgeons, The Knee and Injury.
Mr Butler has been involved in Medical Report preparation for over 10 years and currently takes instructions from solicitors and agencies, with a mixture of claimant and defendant reports, the majority being the former. He aims to provide timely and high quality reports in order to provide the best service possible to instructing parties.
