Mr Nigel Kiely MSc, FRCS

Mr Kiely graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 1991. After house jobs in Nottingham, he worked in Leeds then Manchester. Mr Kiely undertook Orthopaedic training in Manchester and the North West, finishing with a fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry. During this time, he gained a higher Degree in Orthopaedic Engineering from the University of Cardiff.
Mr Kiely commenced his Consultant Post at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in January 2004.
His clinical interests include Developmental dysplasia of the hip, Clubfoot, Limb deformity and young adult hip disorders.
Mr Kiely undertakes medical negligence cases related to paediatric orthopaedics and young adult hip disorders. He is instructed by defence and claimant lawyers, as well as organisations such as the GMC and Medical Indemnity societies. His negligence work typically involves cases such as late presenting hip dislocation, cerebral palsy, slipped upper femoral epiphysis and trauma cases.
