Ms Lucy Botting MSC, BSC, RGN, NP, INP, DN, RNT
Ms Botting has worked in the NHS for over 20 years, starting her career as a District Nurse in Northern Ireland and working her way up to an Executive Nurse on the Board of a Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). She has had a wide range of roles, from working at national level and strategically for the Department of Health on Transforming Nursing and the Royal College of Nursing on behalf of District Nursing, to workforce development and business development in a community provider trust, as well as leading at an executive level on quality, governance , performance and safeguarding within commissioning.
Ms Botting currently works for NHS England as Regional Lead for London Safeguarding. Her role also includes the adult, children and prevent agenda and quality assurance of CCGs and some specialist trusts.
Outside work, she continues to practice as an advanced nurse practitioner with prescribing skills for an private out of hours GP organisation. She is also a Local District Councillor and Executive for wellbeing in a home county.
Her expert clinical skills therefore include a broad breath of knowledge from district nursing to community and primary care issues from children to the most vulnerable elderly including co morbidity and complex health, terminal care, mental health, wound care, infection control and prescribing issues.
