Cookies can then help to understand how the site is being used, help you navigate through the pages efficiently, help remember your preferences, and generally improve your browsing experience. Cookies can also help to ensure that the marketing you see online is more relevant to you and your interests.

What types of cookies are there?

There are generally 3 different types of cookies: “Session Cookies”, “Permanent Cookies”, “Third-Party Cookies”. The different types of cookies are explained below:

  1. Session cookies are mainly used by online shops, they allow you to keep items in your cart when browsing. They are also referred to as a “Transient Cookie”, a cookie that is erased when the user closes the Web browser. The session cookie is stored in the temporal memory and is not retained after the browser is closed. In simple terms, the Session cookies do not collect information from the user’s device.
